WES Transportation changes
Important Transportation Change Reminders
- If you are changing transportation due to moving, a current lease and power or water bill must be provided to the office before the change can take place.
- Transportation changes need to be received before 1:00 pm.
- Transportation changes can be sent to woodlandtransportationchange@fultonschools.org AND teacher's email or by handwritten note to the teacher.
- PBIS Messenger and text messages will not be accepted.
- The email/note must include:
- Student & teacher's name
- Bus/carpool number/daycare name
- Days for change
- If it is a permanent change
- Due to safety concerns, no student checkout will take place after 1:45 pm.
To submit a transportation change through email:
- Download the Woodland Change of Transportation Request
- Fill out the form completely by either printing a copy or using an app such as Adobe Fill & Sign
- If you printed a hardcopy and filled it out, you will need to scan it in order to send it through email
- Open the email WoodlandTransportationChange@fultonschools.org
- Copy your child's teacher on the email
- Upload the completed document
- Send
Transportation Changes - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
While we understand transportation changes occur, we ask that you are mindful of repeated changes. Safety is our main concern for all of our students and staff during dismissal. We appreciate your consideration.
Please note that all transportation changes must be received before 1:00 pm. No transportation changes can be accepted by phone, text, or PBIS Messenger.
- Who do I send transportation requests to if my child's transportation is changing?
- Email requests to woodlandtransportationchange@fultonschools.org and your child's teacher. You will receive an email confirming the transportation change. Written notes to the teacher are also acceptable.
- The subject line should read Transportation Change and include:
- Student's name and homeroom teacher's name
- Bus (animal / color) or carpool number (if applicable)
- Date(s) change will occur and if it is a permanent change
- I'm changing my child's transportation to bus rider. Do I have to be at the bus stop?
- PreK - 1st grade students must have an adult present at the bus stop to pick-up the student(s).
- I am changing transportation to walker or carpool and need one of my child's emergency contacts to pick them up. Am I allowed to do this?
- Yes, but please be sure to include the emergency contact's information in the transportation change request.
- Can my child ride the bus home with another student or have a friend come home by bus with them for a playdate or sleep over?
- To keep our students safe, we do not allow our students to ride with other students.
- I forgot to send a transportation change. Can I pick my child up during dismissal?
- Unfortunately, no. Students must be checked out prior to 1:45 pm. There will be no entry or checkout from 1:45 - 2:50 pm daily during dismissal.
