Title I Overview
Title I is a federally funded program designed to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic standards and state academic assessments.
The Title I program focuses on the academic needs of the most disadvantaged students.
What is the aim of Title I in Fulton County Schools?
Title I schools receive federal money to provide additional resources to:
- Support student instruction
- Improve teaching strategies
- Increase family engagement

2024 - 2025 School-Family Compact for K-2 and 3-5
The School-Family Compact is an annual agreement that outlines the collaborative efforts of families, teachers, and students to ensure that every student achieves grade-level standards and shares the responsibility for enhancing student success. The compact involves families, students, and staff signing it as a commitment to support academic learning, highlighting each party's accountability. Annual Title I Parent Meeting & Academic Partnership Night
All parents, families, guardians, and community members are invited to attend Woodland Elementary's Annual Title I Parent Meeting and Academic Partnership Night.
- Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 5:30 PM for Specialized Programs, 1st, 2nd, and 5th
- Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 5:30 PM for K, 3rd, and 4th
Purpose: The Title I Parent Meeting will take place in the cafeteria and will inform parents of the school's participation in and the requirements of the Title I Program, as well as parents’ right to be involved in their child's education.
Academic Partnership Night will begin immediately after the Title I Parent Meeting.
