About
Our counseling department is dedicated to providing services to all students throughout the school. We have two counselors - Ms. Range and Ms. Gordon. Ms. Range serves students in grades PreK, K, 2nd, and 3rd, while Ms. Gordon serves students in grades PreK, 1st, 4th, and 5th. Together, we conduct a variety of small groups (grief, social skills, self-regulation, emotional support, family structural changes, and friendship, etc) and classroom guidance lessons in addition to providing students with individual counseling services. Both counselors are 504 chairs, SST coordinators, and aid in the RTI behavior process.
Mission
It is the mission of Woodland Elementary’s school counseling program to provide a comprehensive school counseling program for all students by encouraging students to grow in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development while
receiving a high quality education.
Vision
The vision of the school counseling program at Woodland Elementary is for all students to learn to their full potential in an encouraging and safe environment. By providing this learning environment, students will be able to become life-long learners and productive citizens in their community and world.

Mrs. Aimee Range
My name is Aimee Range and this is my 14th year at Woodland Elementary. I have been a school counselor in Fulton County for 19 years. This year, I will be working mostly in grades K, 2nd, and 3rd.
I was born and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee. I attended East Tennessee State University where I received my BS in Applied Human Science and my MA in Counseling. I am married and have twin boys, Nathan and Wyatt, who are 14 years old and are in 9th grade! We also have a silly chocolate lab named Brutus and a beagle named Bailey. I love to watch University of Tennessee football (Go VOLS!), play tennis, watch TV, and spend time with family and friends.

Ms. Haley Gordon
My name is Haley Gordon, and this is my first year at Woodland Elementary School! I am thrilled to serve as the 2nd school counselor, and I will be working in grades 1st, 4th, and 5th this school year.
I was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2015. I continued my education at Mercer University in 2019 and received a master's degree in School Counseling in 2022. When I'm not working, I enjoy cooking, traveling, hiking, watching football, and spending time with my partner, 13-month-old son, family, and friends!
I am very excited to get to know all of the students and families and I look forward to working through this school year together! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any concerns. I’ve attached a link below to send a request to speak with me as needed.
